The 28th Annual Cigna/Elliot Corporate 5k is Going Virtual!

STEP FOUR
Fundraise. Help fight cancer by raising money for the Elliot Regional Cancer Center. After you register, you’ll receive a link to personalized fundraising page that you can share with friends, co-workers and family members.

DO I HAVE TO RUN OR WALK EVERYDAY?
There is no requirement to run or walk everyday; however, we are encouraging as many people as possible to get out there frequently!

“I’M NOT A RUNNER,” IS THIS FOR ME?
We hear this all the time at Millennium Running.  The answer is YES!  While we do have avid runners in our community, the Training in Progress Challenge is designed to motivate and inspire people of ANY ABILITY to get out there!   Whether you are a Boston Marathon qualifier or aspiring to walk without stopping for 20 minutes, it will be good for your physical and mental health!

WHAT IF I’M STAYING ACTIVE ON AN ELLIPTICAL OR BY SWIMMING, ETC?
That’s cool – we get it and we still want you yo participate. Here is a cool spreadsheet you can use to convert to miles or you can use this cool converter.

HOW DO I TRACK MY MILES?
There are numerous ways to track your miles… Garmin, iWatch, or old-school stop watch, and various apps.  Here are some good resources to check out: HERE

HOW DO I SUBMIT MY MILES?
It’s easy! Once you’ve registered, you will receive a unique link via email to your RunReg entry that will allow you to submit your miles on a daily or weekly basis.

HOW FREQUENTLY DO I HAVE TO SUBMIT MY MILES?
You may submit your miles daily or however frequently you’d like during the week. Don’t worry, we will remind you in your training/coaching emails. Regardless, you will need to submit your miles by 9:00am on Mondays.

WHAT IS THE MILEAGE TRACKER?
Once you submit your miles in your unique link, your mileage will be summed and displayed on the leaderboard.

WHAT DOES THE WEEKLY TRAINING LOOK LIKE?
Registrants will receive emails each Monday from our Millennium coaches that will outline a weekly training plan.  These plans will be differentiated into 3 basic groups of novice/office chair to 5k, recreational, and competitive. Feel free to pick what works best for you!

Official Charity Beneficiary

Funds raised through the Cigna/Elliot Corporate Road Race will support the expansion of the Elliot Regional Cancer Center. This capital project and cancer program expansion will bring nearly all services and treatments into a convenient single location here in Manchester, unlike any other facility in southern New Hampshire.  We are also initiating a unique “Patient and Family Navigator Program” to guide patients and their families through the entire cancer care journey, as well as introduce infusion services into our new center slated to open in the Fall of 2020. Together, we ensure Hope is Here.

As you register for the race, you will be emailed a link to a pre-loaded and personalized fundraising page, and will become eligible for some great fundraising prizes. You can share why supporting expanded cancer care locally is important to you, and you can share your personal fundraising page with friends, co-workers and family members. Be sure to also post your link on social media to encourage your friends to support the race, and our work to further improve cancer care for our community. You may also modify this page with photos, your own story, personal goals, and more.

All contributions will be managed by the Mary & John Elliot Charitable Foundation, a charitable, tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing financial support to the various needs of the local community and of the Elliot Health System. 100% of the net proceeds received by the Foundation will be directed to supporting the new Elliot Regional Cancer Center.  Fundraising questions?  Contact us at 603-663-8934 or by emailing foundation@elliothospital.org.

Fundraising Prizes for Teams and Individuals: We will be offering a Catered Lunch Delivered To Your Office for the Top Fundraising Team per the PledgReg total at race start time. We will also offer a Glass Tumbler to those who raise $250 or more in the PledgeReg system at race start time.
