The Clearwater Running Festival is home to America’s #1 beach and is just 22 miles from Tampa on Florida’s stunning west coast. Clearwater boasts an endless supply of sun, warm weather, great dining and is a prime location for a running festival.
All of our courses in the Clearwater Running Festival take you past some of the most beautiful scenery with spectacular views of the Gulf and city. 50k and Marathon participants will get to enjoy the peaceful Pinellas Trail on their way to the finish line. Finisher medals, post-race refreshments, overall and age group awards are just some of the take aways from this popular event.

Five Beautiful Courses
All of our courses start and finish in Coachman Park with spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico and Downtown Clearwater.
This course starts at Coachman Park and heads west over the Clearwater Memorial Bridge, through Sand Key Park, down Gulf Blvd, turning around after mile 7, heading back over the Clearwater Memorial Bridge, then turns south through Clearwater down to the Belleair Causeway, and then north on Gulf Blvd for the journey back to Coachman Park.

This course starts at Coachman Park and heads west over the Clearwater Memorial Bridge, through Sand Key Park, down Gulf Blvd, turning around after mile 7, heading back over the Clearwater Memorial Bridge, then turns south through Clearwater, heading down and back up the Pinellas Trail, before heading down to the Belleair Causeway, and then north on Gulf Blvd for the journey back to Coachman Park.

Online registration will close at noon on Saturday, January 26th. You can still register for the Ultra, Marathon or Relays at early bib pickup on Saturday, January 26, 2pm-6pm @ Coachman Park or on race day at Coachman Park beginning at 5:45am and up to 15 minutes prior to the start of the respective distance.

OVERALL & AGE GROUP AWARDS
The Top male and female in each race will receive a free pair of Brooks Adrenaline or Brooks Ghost. Top 3 male and female in each 5-yr age group (19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34 … 70+) in each race will receive $50 certificates for Brooks Shoes (Adrenaline or Ghost) and RunClearwater Headbands from Wicked Skins

Enjoy free food, drinks, and beer, listen to music and celebrate your accomplishment in Coachman Park after the race.
Free massage will be available on-site after the races thanks to our fiends from West Chiropractic & Neuropathic Center.
Located approximately every 1.5 to 2.5 miles for all the distances, there are 14 Aid Stations in the Marathon, 18 in the Ultra, 7 in the Half, 2 in the 5 Miler, and 1 in the 5k. Their locations are at the mile markers: 1.5 mi (Memorial Bridge Causeway), 3 mi. (Clearwater Beach), 4.5 mi. & 5.5 mi, (Sand Key Park Entrance), 7.3 mi. (Bay Park), 8.5 mi (Sand Key Park Entrance), 11 mi (Clearwater Marina), 12.8 mi (Memorial Bridge), 13.6 mi. (Morton Plant Mease Hospital), 15.5 (Hallett Park), 17.3 mi (Belleair Bridge), 20.4 mi (Bay Park), 21.7 mi, (Sand Key Park Entrance), 24 mi (Clearwater Marina). Aid Stations will include Gatorade, Water, Vaseline and Clif Energy Shots (available at the Bay Park aid station).
There are numerous public and port-o-johns located along the course. The exact locations will be detailed in the athlete info email.
RELAY INFO: Running is better with friends! Enjoy the 2 person Half Marathon Relay or the 4 person Marathon Relay which run the same courses as their respective distances. Leg distances are: Leg 1 = 7.3 miles, Leg 2 = 5.7 miles, Leg 3 = 7.4 miles, Leg 4 = 5.8 miles. Exchange Zone #1 is at Mile 7.3 at Bay Park on Gulf Blvd.Exchange Zone #2 is at mile 13.0 at the head of the Clearwater Memorial Bridge near the double helix, and Exchange Zone #3 is at mile 20.4 back at Bay Park on Gulf Blvd. Each relay team will have the same number and will be issued 1 velcro ankle strip with a timing chip embedded that needs to be passed to their teammate at the respective Exchange Zones and passed over the timing mats. A continuous shuttle bus will be provided to/from Bay Park; however, teams are welcome to transport themselves via their own cars.
There are no time limits on the 5k, 5 Miler, or Half Marathon. Marathoners have a 7 hour 30 minute time limit (17:10 per mile) and Ultra Marathons must reach the 15 mile mark by 3 hours and 40 minutes in order to complete the additional out & back for the Ultra.
