CMC Athlete of the Month: August 2017
Sandy Rowe of Goffstown, NH has been named the CMC Athlete of the Month for August. Spend some time around the Millennium Running Club, and you are sure to hear to amazing tale of Sandy Rowe. Not long ago, Sandy made the commitment to live a healthy lifestyle and begin a daily running program. As time went by and the weight began to disappear, Sandy started running faster and feeling better. Before she knew it, Sandy had lost more than 160 pounds! This is just one part of what makes Sandy the AOM for August, however.
In conjunction with her incredible weight loss, Sandy Rowe has also provided fellow runners with exemplary leadership and motivation. Always available for a chat or pick-me-up, Sandy is rarely seen without a smile! With all her hard work and positive encouragement, we were extremely proud to see her improvement in the CRAFT Sportswear NH 10 Miler. In one calendar year, Sandy took nearly 20 minutes off her 10 mile time! Her 2016 finish was in 1:53:32 (11:22/mile), compared to her 2017 time of 1:36:37 (9:39/mile). Whether she is shedding the weight, or minutes off her time, Sandy Rowe is a motivating force to be reckoned with! Congratulations Sandy, you deserve it!
