Athlete of the Month: Wendy Ryback-Soucy – January 2013
Nominated by Tracey Huppe, we are proud to announce January 2013’s athlete of the month, Wendy Ryback-Soucy!
We at Millennium Running quickly discovered that Wendy has been an inspiration to so many. Her friends and family wanted nothing more than to see her hard work recognized, and the tributes were truly inspiring. Wendy has worked very hard towards meeting her goal of being an amazing mother, supportive wife, hard worker, and as if that wasn’t enough, a runner. Wendy has run 5 half marathons, many smaller races, and most recently ran her first marathon at Walt Disney World! More importantly, she’s become a motivator for many to begin running. Many friends said that seeing her success had inspired them to take up the sport. She recently has even gotten her two daughters involved! Her oldest daughter running a few 5ks over the last year, and her youngest daughter also has run a few short races… “You should see how proud she is when she talks about her mom running a race”. |
Her ability to encourage and motivate has made her a leader and coach to new and established runners alike. Wendy has been an inspiration, most recently as a runner. She knows when to push others, and when to let them push themselves.
For Wendy, running fuels her as a parent just as much as parenting fuels her as a
runner.
We at Millennium Running, along with many of your supportive family and friends,
would like to congratulate you Wendy on your success!
