ETHAN BROWN WINS THE ST. JOSEPH HOSPITAL RIBFEST 5 MILER ON FATHER’S DAY!
Over One Thousand Runners registered for the Inaugural 5 mile Race and Kids Piglet Run, Starting and Finishing on the Anheuser-Busch Brewery Property, Just Before Sunday’s Rock’n Ribfest.
Ethan Brown pulled away from the pack early, he created a sizable lead before the first mile marker and continued to on to become the overall winner crossing the finish line near the Budweiser Clydesdale Hamlet with a time of 25:16.43. “I’m glad that I could come down here and have a good race, it was a great event and hopefully I can come back next year.” Ethan said after his run.
The female winner Karin Biskovich came across the finish line at 33:28.97, a great time to beat for next year. Karin works for Apple Therapy and had this to say about sponsoring the event, “We wanted to get involved with sponsoring races, it’s rewarding to see old patients out running and staying healthy. I’ve been a big fan of the Millennium Running Series and try to get out to all of them.”
The race event started with the free Kids Piglet Runs having 5 age categories and led off by Sqeelz the Pig and Milo the Moose. The 5 mile course left the Anheuser-Busch property and headed north up DW Highway then looped back down and into the brewery. The inaugural Ribfest 5 Miler and free kids Piglet Runs in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Nashua West’s tenth annual Rock’n Ribfest were a huge success this Father’s Day weekend.
“We are excited that over 1000 runners signed up for the first Rotary Rock’N Ribfest 5 Miler.” said Rick Herrick, President of the Nashua West Rotary Club. “ We look forward to working with Millennium Running and having the race continue to be one of Ribfest’s marquee events for years to come.”
Millennium Running worked closely with the Rotary Club of Nashua West to create this great family friendly event that fit perfectly with the rest of the Rock’n Ribfest atmosphere.
