June 1, 2017
For Immediate Release:
Bedford, NH – Millennium Running is pleased to announce a partnership with Friends of Áine to operate the Kids Try-athlon set for Sunday, August 13, 2017 in Bedford, NH.
The Kids Try-athlon is a one of a kind triathlon at the Bedford Town Pool and Bedford High School Campus for kids ages 4 to 15. Divided into 2 categories based on ages, the triathlon consists of a 25-50 yard pool swim, 1-2 mile bike and finishes with a ½ – 1 mile run.
Now in its’ 5th year, there are more than 300 kids that participate annually in this fundraiser for Friends of Áine. Information and Registration can be found at www.friendsofaine.com/kids-try-athlon
Millennium is expanding their role from timing the Kids Try-athlon to full event management in order to keep up with the popularity of the kids-only triathlon. Millennium will be helping with event operational efficiencies, marketing, and introducing a new peer-to-peer personal fundraising platform for the organization.
This event really encompasses the summer fun things Áine loved most, swimming, biking and running,” explained Aine’s parents and event founders, Christine and David Phillips. “We are so grateful to the fantastic committee who has made this event a huge success and are so excited to grow our relationship with Millennium Running to make it bigger and better than ever.”
“The Kids Try-athlon is such a unique and refreshing event for kids and their families,” stated Millennium Running’s John Mortimer. “Our team is excited to make it an even more meaningful event for the kids, dedicated volunteers, and Friends of Áine.”
