Millennium Running Announces a Record Year of Charitable Giving in 2024

Bedford, NH – Millennium Running announced today that the company’s charitable efforts for 2024 exceeded $300,000 and approaches the $2M milestone of all-time giving.
As a family-owned, small business, Millennium Running has a core principle of supporting our local community and nonprofit organizations,” stated Millennium Running owner & founder, John Mortimer. “While we pride ourselves on producing first class events and advocating wellness, most importantly, it is our mission to give back to our community”
77 different organizations received a total of $303.923 from the proceeds and fundraising of Millennium Running’s events in the 2024 calendar year.
Special Olympics New Hampshire was named as Millennium Running’s official Charity of the Year in 2024 and will receive $25,319.

“It was truly an honor to support Special Olympics New Hampshire with our charitable giving program over the past 12 months,” stated Mortimer. “But perhaps even more rewarding was to see the smiling faces of the many Special Olympic athletes as they were cheered into the finish line at our events by our running community.”
“We were honored to be selected as the 2024 Millennium Running’s official Charity of the Year. What a great experience; we were embraced, encouraged and supported by the Millennium runners,” stated the Special Olympics NH director, Mary Conroy. “We had sixty-five Special Olympics New Hampshire athletes who trained and competed in Millennium events. What an awesome year!”
Many of Millennium Running’s signature events had specific charitable partners that each received sizable funds. As the official charity for the Delta Dental / Elliot Corporate 5k, The Solinsky Center for Cancer Care at The Elliot received $21,533; as the official charity for the CMC Manchester City Marathon, Swim with a Mission received $31,099; as the official charity for the BASC Santa Claus Shuffle, the Safe Sports Network received $5,610; and Boston’s Run To Remember First Responders Inc. received $44,696 as the official charity of Boston’s Run To Remember.
Millennium Running’s all-time charity distribution stands at nearly $2-Million at $1,957,631.
Past Official Charities of the Year for Millennium Running have included New Horizons (2018), Veterans Count (2019), Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (2020), The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester (2021), CMC New England Heart & Vascular Institute (2022), and the Solinsky Center for Cancer Care at The Elliot (2023).
