MILLENNIUM RUNNING HIRES DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
New Hampshire’s fastest growing road race management company expands with hire of Keith Tharp as Director of Marketing.
May 30, 2012 – New London, NH
Millennium Running, LLC announced today the hire of a new Director of Marketing, Keith S. Tharp.
Founded in September 2010 by long time New Hampshire runner, John Mortimer, Millennium Running is New Hampshire’s fastest growing road race management company. In just over a year Millennium Running has grown at a rate far exceeding expectations by launching over a dozen new road races, creating an Online Registration Division and a new Timing Division. Bringing Keith Tharp on board to provide the marketing arm to sell those tools is the next step in the company’s ever evolving growth.
“I am thrilled to be able to bring Keith on as the next member of the Millennium Running team”, said company founder and owner, John Mortimer. “Our main goal as a company is to advocate health and fitness to our youth and local community. We do this by providing unique road races for our participants, the most exposure possible for our sponsors, and seamless event services for other races. With this hire, we now have the marketing experience we needed to meet these goals.”
Keith brings a decade of marketing experience as the owner of ChampionPhoto. LLC, a premier sporting event photography company. In his new role Keith will oversee the day-to-day operations of social media services such as monitoring and messaging, media relations, digital advertising, public relations. He will also act as the technological creative director, while continuing to provide first class photography and videography products for Millennium Running events.
“I am very excited to be joining the Millennium Running family, after working very closely with the entire team for more than a year as a vendor I’ve been looking forward to this opportunity.” Keith stated. “I can now get to work helping Millennium Running continue it’s growth as the regions premier running and event coordination service.”
This announcement comes after two of New Hampshire’s newest and most successful road races, put on by Millennium Running. The Manchester Shamrock Shuffle drew in over 2,500 finishers in just the second year, and the Chief Maloney Memorial Run saw over 2,200 registrants in Portsmouth after only 9 days of preparation. These two race and the other events from the first 5 months of 2012 have provided the means for Millennium Running to donate over $100,000 to local charities and non-profits.
