Prize Money Announced for Manchester City Marathon, Powered By SNHU

usatf logo verticalMillennium Running announced today that athletes will be competing for over $8,000 in prize money at the MANCHESTER CITY MARATHON, Powered by SNHU on November 6th in Manchester, NH.

Nearly 2,000 participants are expected run though the streets of Manchester between the four events (marathon, half marathon, relay, and 5k) at the MANCHESTER CITY MARATHON, powered by SNHU.   However, the Marathon distance will be the premier race as it was selected as the 2016 USA Track & Field New England Marathon Championship.   As such the event will attract hundreds of marathoners will be representing some of New England’s top running clubs like the B.A.A., Greater Boston Track Club, Central Mass Striders, Springfield Harriers and more,   These athletes and teams will compete for at total of $8,400 in prize money as outlined below:

About The Author

John Mortimer is the owner and founder of Millennium Running. His extensive running background began in Londonderry, NH where he was a 12-time NH high school state champion. His running career took him to the University of Michigan where he became a 7-time NCAA All American and was honored as a member of the U of M Hall of Fame. John ran professional runner for Adidas and Reebok, and represented the United States on two occasions as member of Team USA. Before moving back to his home state of New Hampshire to start Millennium Running, John spent 10 years as a college coach at Harvard, Boston College and the University of Kentucky. He currently lives in Bedford, NH with his wife Jennifer and two sons, Jack and Liam.
