Get your Irish on and tackle the Golden Shamrock Challenge! Complete the Citizens Shamrock Half-Marathon (as an individual or on a relay team) and the Citizens Shamrock Shuffle and you’ll earn the coveted “Golden Shamrock” medal. *Relay team members need to register for each event separately.

Half Marathon & Relay Course

A one of a kind, multi-loop, spectator-friendly, 13.1 mile course in Downtown Manchester with cheer zones and relay exchange zones at the Wild Rover Irish Pub and Shaskeen Irish Pub.

A 2-mile out-and-back on Elm St that starts and finishes at Veteran’s Park in downtown Manchester.

10:30am - Stonyfield Organic Lil' Leprechaun Runs (kids 8 and under, 100 yard fun run)
11:00am - Citizens Bank Shamrock Shuffle
12:00pm - Manchester Saint Patrick's Parade

EARLY BIB PICK-UP: 
Available at the Millennium Running Retail Store (138 Bedford Center Road, Bedford, NH) during the following days/times:

  • Friday, March 24, 10:30am-7pm

RACE DAY BIB PICK-UP: 
Saturday’s Half Marathon & Relay: Beginning at 7:30am at the Registration Tent located at Veterans Park in Manchester
Sunday’s Shuffle: Beginning at 9:30am at the Registration Tent located at Veterans Park in Manchester


APPAREL:
The first 1,000 in-person & virtual registrants in the Half & Relay will receive a long sleeve event shirt that can be picked up during Early and during Race Day Bib Pick-Up.

Veteran’s Park, 723 Elm Street, Manchester, NH.

PARKING:
There is ample city parking in downtown Manchester. (City meters are free on Sundays.)


GEAR CHECK: (SATURDAY ONLY)
Gear check will be available for all participants in the Race Day HQ area. Simply check your bag in the Gear Check tent inside Race Day HQ and pick it up after you finish.


MEDICAL:
The Elliot will have medical stations located throughout the course as well as a medical tent at the finish line.

AID STATIONS:
Located approximately every 2 miles for the Half & Relay and at the start/finish line for the Shuffle.

All aid Stations will include water, Gatorade and port-o-johns/toilets. Energy Shots will be available at the 6.5 mile aid station.

BATHROOMS:
Each aid station (see above for locations) will have a port-o-john. Ample facilities will be provided near the Start/Finish line.

TIME LIMITS:
There is no time limit on the shuffle course.  Individual and Relay Half marathoners have a 3.5 hour time limit.

FINISHER MEDALS:  
Citizens Shamrock Half Marathon & Relay medals will be distributed at the finish line to all half marathoners and relay teams. Those who complete the Citizens Shamrock Half & Relay and the Citizens Shamrock Shuffle the following day will receive “Golden Shamrock” medals on Sunday at the conclusion of the Shuffle at the registration kiosk.

OVERALL & AGE GROUP AWARDS:
Half Marathon Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Men & Women based off GunTime, as well as the top 3 male and female in each 5-yr age group based off NetTime. (19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34 … 80+). Stop by the Awards Tent following the race to claim your award.
Shuffle Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Men & Women based off GunTime, as well as the top 3 male and female in each 5-yr age group based off NetTime. (19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34 … 80+). Stop by the Awards Tent following the race to claim your award. Awards will not be mailed after the event.


RELAY SPECIFIC DETAILS

RELAY DISTANCES:
Relay splits are as follows: Leg 1 – 5.2 Miles, Leg 2 – 3.2 Miles, Leg 3 – 4.7 Miles.

TEAM REGISTRATION:
The Team Captain will be in charge of registering the entire team online and picking up race packets for their relay teams.

RELAY FINISHER MEDALS:
All medals will be distributed in the finish line area to the finishing member of your relay team. We encourage all relay team members to finish together with your final team member!

RELAY TIMING INFORMATION:
Relay teams must exchange the velcro timing chip with the next runner in their exchange zone. All relay runners must wear the timing chip on their ankle as well as their bib on the front of their body. Relay team results will be broken down by each relay leg and published accordingly.

RELAY EXCHANGE ZONES:
Relay exchange zone 1 will be adjacent to the Shaskeen Pub – Relay exchange zone 2 will be at the Wild Rover Pub.

RELAY TEAM AWARDS:
Awards will be given to the top three teams in the male, female and co-ed divisions.

ELLIOT MILLENNIUM SERIES:
The Relay events will count as 4.4 miles and 1 race for each relay team member towards completion of the Elliot Millennium Series.


POST RACE REFRESHMENTS:
Dasani water and Powerade are provided by Coca Cola Northern New England and Yogurt provided by Stonyfield Organic will be available in the post race area. Saturday’s participants can also redeem the ticket on your bib number for a cup of hot soup.

POST RACE BEER:
Celebrate your accomplishment with a post race beer from Samuel Adams.  Redeem your beer ticket from your bib at the beer garden or one of our participating bars/restaurants

FINISHER VIDEO:

Should you wish to transfer to another race distance or to the virtual option, begin HERE by editing your entry. VIRTUAL RACE DATE & TIMES
Race with us from where ever you are on whatever day & time that works for you before 11:59pm on Monday, March 27th.


BIBS, MEDALS & LONG SLEEVE T-SHIRTS
Long sleeve shirts are limited to the first 1,000 registered in-person and virtual Half Marathon & Relay participants combined. Virtual participants that qualify for event give-a-ways, can choose to have them either mailed to them (which is part of the online registration process or part the transfer to virtual process) or pick them up at our Millennium Store during the scheduled Early Bib Pick Up times. If you are unable to make early bib pickup, please elect to have your item(s) shipped as they cannot be guaranteed past event day.
* Shipments are mailed out approximately 3-4 days prior to the event day.  Any subsequent virtual  transfers or virtual registrants that process shipping will be mailed out the first business day following the event, only if inventory allows.


HOW DO I SUBMIT MY RESULTS?
It’s easy! On race week, we will be sending you a unique link via email to your RunReg entry that will allow you to submit your race results. Results must be submitted by 11:59pm EDT on Monday, March 27th.


RESULTS
Official Results will be published exclusively on millenniumrunning.com on Tuesday, March 28th. You have until 11:59pm on Monday, March 27th to submit your time using the unique link provided in your confirmation email.


AWARDS
Everyone wins their own virtual race!  As such, there will be no recognition of race times.


What about the Elliot Millennium Series and Delta Dental Points Chase?
Virtual registrants will earn miles toward the Elliot Millennium Series Jacket! However, no points will be assigned for the Delta Dental Points Chase.

The New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, serves as the only food bank in the state, working to provide nutritious food and resources to the hundreds of thousands of New Hampshire residents that are food insecure. The Food Bank supplies millions of pounds of food annually to more than 425 partner agencies, including food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, children’s programs, senior centers and more. In turn, these agencies provide hunger relief to those suffering from food insecurity throughout the state.
