5K Course

A fast USA Track & Field Certified 5k (3.1 mile) loop starting at Stark and Elm Streets, heading north on Elm, west on Thayer, south on River Road and Canal Street, then turning onto Stark and Elm Street before finishing on Elm Street, next to Veteran’s Park.

In addition to the approximately 5,000 walkers and runners who participate each year, the event draws spectators from around New England who gather along the race route to cheer on the participants. The event garners extensive media coverage as athletes from around the globe come to New Hampshire to participate – the Delta Dental/Elliot Corporate 5k is the fastest race in New Hampshire recording a sub-14 minute finish in 2003.

EARLY BIB & SHIRT PICK-UP
Available at the Millennium Running Retail Store (138 Bedford Center Road, Bedford, NH) on Wednesday, August 7th from 10am to 6pm.

TEAM CAPTAINS:
You (or a designated representative) will receive all of your team’s bibs and shirts during early or race day pick up. It will be your responsibility to distribute the correct bibs and shirts to your teammates prior to the race. We recommend early pick up to avoid unnecessary stress on race day!

RACE DAY REGISTRATION & BIB PICK-UP
Available from 3:30pm-6:00pm on Race Day at the registration tents located in Veteran’s Park.

PRIZE MONEY & AWARDS
Cash Awards will be given to:
-Top 5 Overall Men & Women ($500, $400, $200, $100, $50)
-Top Male & Female New Hampshire finishers ($100)
-Top Male & Female masters (40+) / age-graded finisher ($100).
-$100 cash time bonuses are awarded for any male athlete under 15:00 and female athletes under 17:00
-Course record bonuses (male 13:47, female 15:33) to winner is $1,000.
*Double dipping is permitted on all cash awards.   All Cash Prize winners are required to be present at the Awards Ceremony in Veterans Park at 7:15pm.

Age Group awards the top 3 male and female in each 5-yr age group (12 and under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34 … 80+).  Age Group Awards are distributed at the Awards Tent in Veterans Park immediately following the race.

Team awards are given to the fastest age-graded participants on a Male Team (5 scoring men), Female Team (5 scoring women), and Largest Team of Registrants (small company, large company).

Corporate Team Captain Duties

1. You need to be motivating, fun, and enthusiastic in order to get your co-workers, friends and family to join the fight against cancer by fundraising for the Elliot Cancer Center.


2. You will be the primary contact for your company.


3. Ensure that your company’s logo is properly submitted by the deadline.


4. Arrange to pick-up you company’s bib numbers and t-shirts, then distribute the correct bibs and shirts to your team prior to the race. NOTE: You (or a designated representative) will receive all of your team’s bibs and shirts during early or race day pick up. We recommend early pick up to avoid unnecessary stress on race day!


5. Facilitate payment of entry fees for your corporate team. There are 3 options for payment:

  • Captain signs up first to create their company team and opts to receive a unique code for other employees to register on their company team.   Company is then invoiced on Wednesday of race week based on codes redeemed. Company may pay by credit card or check, net 15 days.
  • Captain signs up first to create their company team and opts to pay for their own registration and the registrations of their employees at that time via credit card.
  • Captain signs up first to create their team and opts to pay for their own and have their employees pay for themselves at the time of registration

CORPORATE BRANDED T-SHIRTS
Team members will receive a Corporate Branded T-Shirt if registered by Thursday, July 18, 2024 at noon.

Team captains must submit a logo for your company to receive branded shirts.

The deadline to submit your company logo is Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at midnight.

Funds raised through the Delta Dental/Elliot Corporate 5k will support patient programs at the Solinsky Center for Cancer Care at The Elliot.  100% of your donations will provide funding for programs and services at the Solinsky Center for Cancer Care including nutrition assistance and programs, rehabilitation therapy, integrative medicine, and support programs for patients as they manage their journey with cancer. Specialized programs include: Yoga and meditation, Art Therapy,  Journaling classes, Game Nights for cancer survivors, Acupuncture and Reiki, Cooking Classes for specialized and healthy food options during treatment.

The Solinsky Center at Elliot Hospital offers radiation oncology, medical oncology with state-of-the-art technology, caring and skilled health care providers, in one convenient location. Along with the expansion of clinical services, our Patient and Family Nurse Navigator Program provides additional support to patients and their caregivers. Nurse navigators help patients with understanding different care options, provide scheduling and billing support, and assist with patient advocacy. Together, we ensure Hope is Here.

As you register for the race, you will be emailed a link to a pre-loaded and personalized fundraising page, and will become eligible for some great fundraising prizes. You can share why supporting expanded cancer care locally is important to you, and you can share your personal fundraising page with friends, co-workers and family members. Be sure to also post your link on social media to encourage your friends to support the race, and our work to further improve cancer care for our community. You may also modify this page with photos, your own story, personal goals, and more.

Fundraising Prizes for Teams and Individuals: We will be offering a Catered Lunch Delivered To Your Office for the Top Fundraising Team per the PledgeReg total at race start time. We will also offer a Glass Tumbler to those who raise $250 or more in the PledgeReg system at race start time.
